Unusual market.
Each first Saturday of the month, the Rua do Lavradio becomes the setting for an old fashioned market. Bargains galore, even though it is best to arrive early to be served first.
In addition to the many stands, the market is held to the beat of the Samba, lending a unique feel to this event.
