National Historical Museum
A colourful country, a dark history.
The city museum of Rio de Janeiro is made up of two pavilions, two display spaces to retrace the history of the capital from its foundation in 1565.
The first of the two is dedicated to the country's colonial history and also counts two open exhibition spaces for temporary expos. The second museum pavilion is entirely dedicated to the country's Republican and Imperial history.
