The Federal University of Rio National Museum, also known as the Quinta da Boa Vista museum, is considered one of the top cultural institutions in Brazil and Latin American generally speaking. Surrounded by the stunning Quinta da Boa Vista or "Park of the Nice View", the museum is home to a staggering collection of stuffed-animals, minerals, insects, indigenous artefacts, mummies from Egypt as well as South-America, meteorite fragments and a variety of fossils.
